TiNK’s Expert Locator incorporates user-related information and calculates two dynamic profiles (i.e. expertise and interests) based on a person’s contribution to information. These profiles represent the competence domains an expert is active in and can be used to ‘locate’ them.

This contribution can be represented by different types of information and depends on culture and availability inside the organisation.

Since these profiles are mathematical profiles, concealed and incorporated in the system, they are not readable nor usable by other people, thus respecting European privacy rules.
